Southwest Florida Real Estate Market Update

Summer is here and the sun is shining on the Real Estate Market!

Last week I was reading an article in the Florida Weekly that I would like to share with you. Those of us living in southwest Florida "have reason to feel encouraged by the real estate market". Lee County sales figures for single family homes have grown and there is more activity in the market. There has been a 61.9% increase in May sales from the same time last year. Pending sales have increased 76.9%.

Please take the time to read the entire article - the rainbow is here!

In a report released by the Naples Area Board of Realtors, Collier County is enjoying the increase in activity too! Arlene Carozza, president of NABOR, stated in the report that "not only are the numbers impressive for post-season sales, but more significantly, this is the 4th consecutive month of increased market activity." The volume of inventory that we've seen in the last few years is decreasing and the prices seem to have stabilized.
